Utah State Women's Tennis Clawed By Weber State, 4-3, Tuesday

OGDEN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis team lost to Weber State for the second time this season, losing, 4-3, on Tuesday, April 8 in Ogden. USU falls to 6-12 on the season, while WSU improves to 7-12 overall. In the No. 2 singles match Aggie freshman Hailey Swenson defeated Inalise Pienaar, 6-1, 6-4. Fellow classmate Taylor Perry beat the Wildcats' Greyce Farias, 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 4 slot. Junior Bridgette Strickland battled Keya Adamson for the No. 5 singles match but fell, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4. USU sophomore Marie Livingston ended the match at No. 6 singles beating out Alyssia Pyne, 6-2, 6-4. In doubles action, USU sophomore Brianna Harris and Swenson were defeated by Pienaar and Ashley Schapper, 8-2 at No. 1. Sophomore Britney Watts and freshman Jennifer Johnson also lost, 8-2, to WSU's Kelli Lindley and Elsje Beneke in the No. 2 spot. The Aggies host Northern Colorado on Friday, April 11 at 9 a.m. in Logan at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
