CORN SAYS— Nicole ruptured her achilles’ tendon as a freshman and it’s taken her two years to get to where she was as a high school senior. She will have her greatest year of her college career this season. She is certainly viable as a collegiate national competitor. 2002 (JUNIOR)— 9.925 vault score at the Western Gymnastics Conference meet (March 22) was the second-best score in school history and gave her the event title... Also set a season-best all-around score of 39.000 at the WGC and finished fourth... Season-high beam score came against Utah (Feb. 15), with a 9.875... 2002’s top bar score (9.825) was at the WGC meet (March 22)... Had six top-three finishes in 2002, with two in the all-around, three in the vault and one on beam... Season average of 38.468 in the all-around was 11th all-time at USU. 2001 (SOPHOMORE)— Competed in the all-around in nine meets for USU, winning two all-around titles... Scored a career and Utah State season-best 39.325 in the all-around against BYU (March 9), which ranks as the fifth-best score in school history... Had 16 top-three finishes — five vault, two bars, four beam, one floor and four all-around — including six individual event titles — one vault, two beam, one floor and two all-around... Concluded the season with averages of 9.65 on vault, 9.670 on bars, 9.570 on beam, 9.606 on floor and 38.564 in the all-around... Her 38.564 all-around average is the seventh best in USU history. 2000 (FRESHMAN)— Sat out the first month of the season recovering from a torn achilles’ tendon suffered during summer training... Returned to competition as a beam specialist... Posted a high score (9.800) at BYU. CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL— Senior International Elite from 1997-99 for Tony and Paula Gehman... Competed in the USA Championships as a senior... Placed sixth in the all-around at the American Classic in 1997, earning a spot on the national team... Took seventh in the all-around at the Pan-Am Championships in 1997... Competed in Marsailles, France, twice and in England once, where the USA team took first... Graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Lakeland Regional High School. PERSONAL— Pre-physical therapy/chemistry major with a math minor... Daughter of James and Maria Kilpatrick...
